Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 2026-07-19

These terms govern the creation of websites and the provision of services by FreeWeb ("we"). By using the service you agree to these terms.

1. Description of the service

FreeWeb builds your website and provides its hosting on a monthly subscription basis. Technical support and updates are included in the Premium plan. The subscription type (Basic or Premium) and its cost depend on the chosen website. In the future the customer may buy the website out in full and take it into their own ownership.

2. Account and ordering

To place an order you must create an account (profile) on the platform. The prices shown on the site at order time are final. The online meeting serves only to clarify project details, discuss requests for extra functionality or complex design, and give final approval to the work plan.

3. Payment and subscription

Payment takes place after the online meeting and once the details are agreed. The subscription period begins the moment the website is activated (goes live). The fee is charged automatically every month from the bank card the customer has saved. The change-request fee is 50 GEL on the Basic plan and is charged to the saved card only after the customer confirms it; on the Premium plan changes are free. Hosting, the SSL certificate and a standard domain are included in the monthly fee.

3.1. Changing the plan

When upgrading from the Basic to the Premium plan, the customer pays, via the secure payment page, only the price difference between the two plans, prorated for the days remaining in the current billing period. The Premium plan activates immediately upon payment, and the full Premium price applies from the next billing period. The billing date does not change. When switching back from Premium to Basic, the change takes effect from the next billing period, with no additional payment. The website buyout price is likewise paid via the secure payment page.

4. Delivery of the website

The product is digital; nothing is shipped physically. The build starts after the first payment, and the finished website is delivered by being launched (activated) online. The build time depends on the website type: a one-page site takes 5-7 working days, a business site 10-14 working days, a catalog 2-3 weeks, an online store 3-4 weeks, and the timeline for a custom project is agreed individually. The countdown starts once the customer provides the required materials. The monthly service (hosting, SSL certificate, domain and plan-appropriate support) is delivered continuously throughout each paid period.

5. Term and cancellation

There is no minimum mandatory term. The subscription can be cancelled at any time. After cancellation the website keeps functioning until the end of the period already paid for, then goes offline. A backup of the site is kept for 60 days.

6. Refunds

Monthly fees already paid are non-refundable. If the subscription is cancelled mid-period, the amount is not returned, but the website remains active until the paid period runs out.

7. Failed payment

If the monthly fee cannot be charged, the system periodically retries the charge over 3 days. If payment still cannot be collected within that window, the website is temporarily blocked/taken offline. Once payment succeeds, service is reactivated immediately.

8. Website buyout

The customer can buy the website out in full at any time at the current, reduced price. The buyout cost decreases over time and settles at a minimum floor. After the buyout procedure is completed, the website passes fully into the customer's ownership.

9. Content and responsibility

The customer is fully responsible for the legality of, and ownership of the copyright to, the texts, photos and other materials they provide. Posting unlawful, offensive or third-party rights-infringing material is prohibited. We reserve the right to remove such content or temporarily suspend the service.

10. Intellectual property

Until the website is bought out, FreeWeb retains the intellectual rights to its code and structure. The branding, logo, texts and media provided by the customer always remain the customer's property.

11. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "As Is". We make every effort to ensure the website runs without interruption, but we are not liable for indirect damages caused by technical faults or third-party services (e.g. providers, payment systems).

12. Changes to the terms

We reserve the right to update these terms from time to time. Customers will be informed in advance of material changes. Continued use of the service automatically means acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Georgia. Any dispute is heard by the Tbilisi City Court.
